Seriously Over-Engineered

Our flagship model features a two-part case machined from a large chunk of aluminium, sand blasted, and anodized, giving it a distinct matte grey finish. The case itself weights 1.7 kg (3 lbs and 12 oz) and at some points it is more than one centimeter thick. It is simple in design and virtually indestructible—made to last for a lifetime. The top and bottom part of the case serve as a clamp for a large brushed stainless steel mount plate holding the switches. With massive custom made polyurethane keycaps with double-shot legend, it cannot go much better than this.

Configurable

We offer our products as kits with various assembly options ranging from basic kits aimed at enthusiasts to presoldered and exclusive kits requiring minimum assembly. The keyboard controller can be programmed with various keymaps—a keymap defines what key codes are sent to the host device when you press a key. You can choose from one of our predefined keymaps or use our on-line visual keymap editor to create your own. There are not many things that can make your computer interaction more satisfying than using your own fine-tuned keymap.

Made by Geeks

Our keyboard kits were inspired by one of the keyboards from the past—the iconic Symbolics 365407 (Rev. A) admired by many geeks as one of the best keyboards ever made. While the acquisition of the original Symbolics keyboard, its restoration, and conversion for modern computer interfaces may be very enjoyable, the problem is that there are not many originals left. With the intention to revive the legend, we have designed our kits from scratch with almost all components custom made and ready to be used with modern devices.
